Jordan Henderson and Andy Carroll were
delighted to sign off at Anfield in 2011/12 with impressive displays in
Liverpool's 4-1 victory over Chelsea.
It has not been an easy season for either of the North East natives
on Merseyside, with both struggling to justify sizeable price tags.
They were, however, influential performers in a midweek win over
Chelsea and Reds supporters will be looking for more of the same next
term.
Henderson netted only his second Premier League goal of the season on Tuesday night, but believes he is making steady progress.
Asked to sum up his debut season at Anfield, he told Sky Sports:
"I've enjoyed it. I've learnt a lot since I've been here so hopefully
it will give me a lot of confidence going into the next season. Overall
I've been happy with it.
"I like to score as many as I can, so it's always nice to score. I
need to do it on a more regular basis, so I will just keep working and
see if I can do that."
