TNA Wrestler Kurt Angle recently backed out of his scheduled
appearance at the Dan Gable Museum Hall of Fame, where he was set to be
inducted into their 2012 Class. The former WWE Champion said on his
Twitter account earlier today that he missed the event due to
obligations with his upcoming wedding.
It appears that WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco took great offense to
Angle's absence, and auctioned off his award during the event for $250!
When Angle found out about this, as well as some heated comments made by
Brisco and fellow Hall of Famer Jim Ross, he took to Twitter and posted
the following rant:
"Jerry Brisco made a mockery out of me and the Dan Gable Museum HOF
by auctioning off my award. This award is a huge honor. (You) spit on
me ... Due to obligations I had with my wedding, I could not attend HOF.
I even made a 10 minute video proudly accepting this great honor. I'm
disappointed I couldn't go, but devastated Jerry gave away my award.
Very classy, Jerry."
It appears that issues have since been resolved, as Angle updated his Twitter recently with the following:
"Thank You All for Your Support. I Should Have
Contacted Jerry personally. He Is My friend. We Will Resolve this. No
Harm Done. Thk U!"
