Floyd Mayweather Jr tipped the scales at a career-heavy 151lb for his fight against Miguel Cotto in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Mayweather is having only his second fight at light-middleweight,
five years to the day since he edged Oscar De La Hoya on a split
decision.

His fight against WBA champion Cotto at the MGM Grand has been tipped
to become the second-highest grossing fight of all time after the De La
Hoya slugfest.

For his part, Cotto reportedly looked tight at the weight as he registered right on the limit at 154lb.
"Nobody is invincible in life. I know that
because I pass through this point in my life," Cotto said in his
pre-fight interview. "I'm ready for anything Floyd brings me. The
question is, is Floyd ready for anything Miguel can bring to him?"

And although most boxing experts believe Cotto (37-2, 30 knockouts)
is too slow for the slick Mayweather, the Puerto Rican disagrees.
"The only thing I can say is I'm ready,
and I am prepared for anything that happens in the ring," he said. "I'm
going to work every second in there."

Meanwhile, Mayweather was in relaxed mood ahead of his 43rd fight as a pro.

"When I get in the ring it's like, here we go again, it's just
another day," said the 35-year-old. "I've got so much experience I can
go to him if I want. I know when a fighter is starting to wear down and
he will wear down."
