The Football Association has confirmed the appointment of Roy Hodgson as the new England coach on a four-year contract.Hodgson has been handed the task of replacing Fabio Capello, who
resigned in February after John Terry was removed as England captain.
A deal has now been agreed, with the
former Fulham and Liverpool manager agreeing a contract which takes him
through to the 2016 European Championship in France.
However, he will remain in charge of West Brom for the club's final
two games of the Premier League season before officially taking on the
England role on 14th May.
His first match as England coach will be a
Euro 2012 friendly warm-up on 26th May in Norway, where he has previous
coaching experience.
England will also meet Belgium at Wembley in early June before facing
France, Sweden and co-hosts Ukraine at the European Championship.
